First skin in five minutes.

Here's the whole thing, start to finish, including the two spots where people usually get stuck.

  1. Install Flux

    Run the installer. On first launch a short setup finds your League folder by itself - you only touch it if it got something wrong, and it tells you clearly whether each path works.

  2. Pick a look (optional)

    Setup also offers the colour themes and overhaul packs right there, sliders and all. You can change any of it later from the Themes screen.

  3. Get a mod

    Mods come from community sites as .fantome or .modpkg files. Download one and drag it onto the Flux window, or use the Import Mods button. Flux looks inside the file before anything gets saved.

  4. Turn it on

    Your library is a list of switches - turn on what you want in game. Champion mods sort themselves under their champion, and a mod that comes without artwork gets its champion's portrait instead.

  5. Start the patcher, then launch League

    Press Start patcher before you launch League, and leave Flux open while you play. The order matters because of Vanguard - the patcher needs to be in place first. Hit Stop when you're done.

  6. When League updates

    Use Check my mods. It tells you which mods survived the patch, which broke, and which ones it can repair. The Health screen runs the same checks any time something feels off.

Two things to know. Custom skins are only visible to you - everyone else sees the default game. And skins are use-at-your-own-risk: Riot has historically tolerated cosmetic mods, but they're not endorsed. Flux never edits game files on disk; everything happens in memory while a session runs, and stops when you stop it.
